Day 584 in the Corona House

08:36 Lindsay might be getting her sense of smell back.

“Is there a funny smell in this room, Ian? Like mould?”

“Yeah. A mouldy old woman.”

09:45 Face ID isn’t working for Lindsay. Even her own phone doesn’t recognise her anymore in her dirty, haggard state.

12:34 Joel announces his departure.

“Mam. I’m going out.”

“Uh huh.”

“I might be late.”

“Uh huh.”

“I probably won’t want tea.”

“Uh huh.”

“I might never come back.”

“What’s that now?!”

13:43 Lindsay reads about a company which uses crisp packets to make blankets for the homeless. Lindsay’s on the case. She wonders who she could help by drinking lots of vodka.

14:32 Lindsay can’t decide if she’s still ill or just reverted back to being bone idle.

15:34 Abigail’s excited.

“We can go out tomorrow Mam.”

“Uh huh.”

“Are you not excited? We get our freedom back!”

“Ok William Wallace.”

18:12 Ian reminds Lindsay he’s on nights.

“I think you should sleep in the garage then when you come home.”

“Again. Why?”

“Because I won’t be able to hoover if you’re asleep in the house.”

“You crack me up!”

18:14 Luckily the kids have one concerned parent.

“Where’s Sam, Linz?”

“Dunno.”

“Where’s Joel?”

“Dunno.”

“Abigail?”

“Dunno. But Frankie’s next to me on the sofa.”
